By Road: take the A9 for most journeys from the south and England. Join A889 at Dalwhinnie, proceeding to Laggan then to Spean Bridge on the A86. Turn, there, on to the A82 towards the Great Glen and Invergarry- where the road to Skye (A87) is joined. Turn off A87 at Sheil Bridge, following signs for Glenelg. Glenelg is reached after 10 miles- be sure to stop at top of Ratagan Pass for views.
Others may wish to come via Inverness, from where the A82 follows the shores of Loch Ness before turning towards Skye at Invermoriston. This road (A887) leads to Shiel Bridge also.
By bus: Scottish Citylink services stop at Shiel Bridge (10 miles from Glenelg), from where a taxi can be sought.
By Train: Services, from around the country, to Inverness are frequent. From there, a most scenic service to Kyle of Lochalsh departs. Kyle is 25 miles from Glenelg.
By AIr: Several airlines fly to Inverness Airport from UK and Irish destinations including: London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton), Dublin, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool and Manchester.
